1960 Beehive Fashion Came Back-Amy Winehouse's Funeral

Now, Amy Winehouse being dead, 27, we can only look at the brighter side of her. According to many reports from the Associated Press and others, that it was said that a 92 year old woman by the name of Maragret Vinci Hendt is responsible for the updo. Even Kelly Osborne, 26, got on board with the style. Showing up at Winehouse's funeral.

Y

Winehouse's poufy mane which stood no less than 5 inches tall, so closely resembled that of lead Ronette singer Ronnie Spector that the veteran performer thought she was looking at a photo of her younger self when she saw a picture of Winehouse in the New York Post.
"I don't know her, I never met her, and when I saw that pic, I thought, 'That's me!' But then I found out, no, it's Amy. I didn't have on my glasses," Spector told the Village Voice.
The hairstyle made its debut in 1960, and was conceived by Margaret Vinci Heldt, then a stylist for the Chicago-based Modern Beauty Shop magazine. Inspired to showcase something different for the February 1960 issue, Heldt conceptualized the new hair design.
"I went home, and I thought, 'What am I going to do that hasn't been done before?" Heldt, now 92 and retired, told the Associated Press in January.
Heldt waited until her family was asleep one night before she started styling the hair on a mannequin head, trying to emulate the shape of a small black velvet hat.
"Before you know it, something was coming out," she said. "And I thought, 'I like this.'"
The magazine, now called Modern Salon, dubbed the look "the beehive."
Heldt was amazed to see her style evolve and rise in popularity.
"It grew into bigger and bigger, higher and higher; it didn't just stay a beehive," she told AP. She said the hairstyle was especially appealing to short women who desired to look taller.
"The showgirls, they loved it because it made them willowy and tall," she said.
Now, 50 years after its inception, Heldt is receiving more accolades. The trade association Cosmetologists Chicago announced plans to award a scholarship based on creativity in her name. And the Chicago History Museum plans to include Heldt's mannequin head and velvet hat in an upcoming exhibit on the history of the beehive.
The beehive was more than just a hairstyle for the late, troubled pop star. When asked if she ever had good hive days and bad hive days during an interview with Reuters, the singer offered a decisive, matter-of-fact response.

Kristen Stewart POWERS UP In Snow White-She Tells Comic-Con 2011

You know how Disney gives you the fluffy and singing movies.... Well, "Snow White" was not suppose to be fragile but to be very grim and a fight your fight story. More like I can seriously take you on. In Kristen Stewart's next movie Snow White, she tells the crowd just that.
According to reports from Yahoo and the Associated Press, Stewart joined other cast and crew Saturday at the Comic-Con fan convention for a preview of next year's "Snow White" and the Huntsman," an action-packed twist on the fairy tale.
The "Twilight" star told a Comic-Con crowd that doing a sweet, traditional "Snow White" was not something "I was jumping at." What attracted her was that this Snow White was a bold leader with her feet firmly on the ground.
"Also, I get to have a sword and stuff," Stewart said. "Really cool weapons."
The other most impressive actress who will be playing the evil queen will be Charlize Theron.
The movie comes out next year in June. This is great because this will be double action with the same year, including another "Snow White" in March. Personally, I like the idea that Stewart, Theron and other cast came in character.
I can't wait!!!!!!! No, I can not!

Kim Kardashian Finally Sues Old navy Clone

KIM KARDASHIAN FINALLY SUED OLD

NAVY CLONE! REGGIE THE PSYCHO

SOURCE by OMG! YAHOO!
Kim Kardashian is done with the Old Navy clone  and wants the clothing line store to stop advertising her. It is told by "OMG!" that on Wednesday July 20, 2011  Kim sued the clothing store and it's  corporation, which is The Gap Inc., In the Los Angeles federal court saying that there ads are violating  her publicity rights because they used a woman who looks like. Kim is obviously upset about the fact that the impersonator is not only trying to look like her but she has went after her Ex. The clone is trying to be like Kim and it's not right, so really no one can get mad at Kim for her decisions towards the clone. Reggie is a complete psycho for even getting with someone who looks like Kim when he could have gotten with the real thing instead of playing games. Here is some more info from "OMG!". Kardashian's lawsuit claims consumers may be confused by the ads and the model's actual endorsements, which include her own clothing store and shoe line. A commercial, titled, "Super C-U-T-E," began airing in February and Old Navy is still using some of the promotions, the lawsuit states. The case cites all the benchmarks of modern celebrity: her eight million followers on Twitter, more than five million fans on Facebook and ranking as one of the most searched-for celebrities on the Internet.Kardashian "has invested substantial time, energy, finances and entrepreneurial effort in developing her considerable professional and commercial achievements and success, as well as in developing her popularity, fame, and prominence in the public eye," the lawsuit states.Louise Callagy, a spokeswoman for San Francisco-based Gap said the company has not yet seen the case and had no comment.

Victoria Schmidt Takes Comic-Con 2011 Very Seriously & To Another Level Vi

NO ONE CAN COMPETE WITH THIS MEGA FAN...
Seriously, Victoria comes hard like the paint. Parties, galas, and moviegoers at theaters knows that it would be nothing without people or teens dressed up as their favorite characters. Yeah, being in character or in costume. Don't show up being a party pooper. That's so LAME. In other words, you can stay home.
Schmidt shows and explains according to Yahoo, By her own admission, she spends the entire year and most of her monthly paycheck on getting a guise just right, be it Princess Leia or Kate from "Lost. Here it all is!

What Happens When 2 Cheerleaders Fight Over A BOY? HM! Reminds Me..

What Happens When 2 Cheerleaders Fight Over A BOY? HM! Reminds Me..
This from my own words in the big bold.
Like everyday you will find that there's always 1 bad apple out of the bunch. I have found that no matter the setting that your in rather it be at school, a group, club, and/or church. There's someone that is mostly young in age that is being taken advantage of simply because your younger then them and possibly calling themselves your friend. That will turn against you in the blink of an eye over a boy. A friend that you've known before the BF had even came along or at least you thought was a friend.  Yeah turn friends against you. All the moral values they claim they have suddenly goes out the door. Well, for this unique situation w/ 2 teen cheerleaders in Texas led right to court. 3 words=Watch Your Back
As first reported by the Dallas Observer, the Title IX lawsuit filed by Liz Laningham -- the mother of former Carrollton (Texas) Creekview High cheerleader Sami Sanches (who is not pictured among the most recent group of Creekview cheerleaders below) -- was thrown out of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals with the legal equivalent of a good, forceful kick to the rear end.
The following passage comes directly from the legal opinion given in the Laningham-Sanches case. In fact, it's the statement that starts off the lengthy court opinion, which you can read in full at the bottom of this Deadspin post right here.
Reduced to its essentials, this is nothing more than a dispute, fueled by a disgruntled cheerleader mom, over whether her daughter should have made the squad. It is a petty squabble, masquerading as a civil rights matter, that has no place in federal court or any other court. We find no error [with the lower court's judgement] and affirm.
Now, one might wonder how the mother of a high school cheerleader could possibly be delusional enough to think that a claim of a vast school conspiracy against her daughter would be validated by a federal court. In fact, one might also wonder what made her feel entitled enough to cite prior legal decisions that found proof of sexual harassment and discrimination against rape victims and students who happened to bear an unfortunate likeness with Monica Lewinsky, in that aforementioned court claim.
The answer, it seems, is that Ms. Laningham was quite delusional indeed. Among a serial list of issues raised in her original legal writ, the Dallas Observer pulled out the following salient complaints … none of which, one could argue, have absolutely anything to do with the kind of systematic discrimination Title IX and sexual harassment laws are intended to protect against:
1. The school did not remove the freshman cheerleading squad captain after she told Sanches she'd kissed her boyfriend.
2 The way the squad chose jump sequences at homecoming was patently unfair.
3. Rank favoritism.
4. The scheduling of the end-of-year banquet for cheerleaders was too favorable to senior girls.
5. Laningham was threatened with a lawsuit by other parents because she failed to return cheerleading videos.
Ladies and gentlemen, there is a test case in when you know a lawsuit is extraordinarily frivolous. The fact that other parents had to file a suit against Laningham just to get her to return cheerleading squad videos is proof enough that she didn't have the greatest track record of responsible "cheerleading stewardship," for lack of a better term.

BREAKING NEWS! Rihanna had a fire at Dallas Concert!

Scary situation is happened at our American Airlines Center in Dallas where R&B singer, Rihanna performed didn't last long last night. All these people trying to get out the exit doors. Eventually, stopped people from getting out. Took her a long time to come back  to Dallas then go up and perform. Lots of people were disappointed.

According to CBS, this is what happened in detail. According to a group of CBS 11 employees who attended the concert, it appeared the fire started from pyrotechnics that were part of the show.
The AAC was not evacuated immediately, but some people rushed the exits, causing a backup.
Dallas Fire Rescue Captain Johnny Bates says a chair caught on fire. ”We were called in to assist. One of our engine crews did enter the building but crew members with the AAC or concert put out the initial fire.”  The fire was knocked quickly. “Everything is under control and there are no injuries,” Bates added.
The concert ended early, frustrating fans who were already upset that Rihanna came out more than an hour late.
19-year-old Kristen Villemez came to the concert with her mother, who was celebrating her birthday. It was a mother-daughter outing.  “We were really looking forward to this. Now we’re wondering if our   money is going to be refunded in any way.”
Many concertgoers were fans of the singer who had tickets to her previous Dallas concert, which she cancelled.
Elvia Vigil is one of those fans. She told CBS11′s Sharrie Williams that she and her friends purchased tickets to last year’s show.  Now they finally attended the concert, it was cancelled prematurely because of the fire, leaving them disappointed.  “We waited so long to see her and now this. This is not how we expected the show to go. She was late getting here and we didn’t even get a proper ending.”

People Want To Know The REAL Reason LaBeouf Makes A Big Decision Too.......

LaBeouf Makes A Big Decision Too.......
Well it's not unheard of when actor(s) or people in general want to move on and do something different. Well unfortunately, with Megan Fox gone and replaced by BURBERRY girl, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The way that I have been taught. When you do anything involving someone else there has to be chemistry. And when there's not the whole thing will fall apart, anyway. That's exactly what happened here with the movie  "TRANSFORMERS 3-Dark Of The Moon." Labeouf feels that there's nothing else more left to do or has grown out of his role as a kid star. So you got more than one reason why he's leaving like Fox's departure and the chemistry wasn't right. But the real reason was....
According to reports from Yahoo and other sources, Shia LaBeouf learned how to play with others on action-movie sets, which may help explain why he’s often ready for a fight. One scrape last October during the filming of “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center pitted the young actor against director Michael Bay over a song.
With military and NASA personnel watching, Bay and his leading man were shooting an emotional sequence from the script’s third act on a shuttle launchpad at Cape Canaveral. To put himself in a somber frame of mind, LaBeouf plugged his iPod into some speakers and started playing a wistful ballad, Feist’s “Brandy Alexander.”
“Yeah, it’s a little feminine, but it touches me,” LaBeouf says, starting to pepper his recollection with more expletives than are allowed in the PG-13 film. “I feel something when I hear it. … But Mike doesn’t want to listen to ‘Brandy Alexander’ under the rocket with 50 military dudes around.”
Bay unplugged the actor’s iPod, LaBeouf says, and replaced it with his own, cueing up the propulsive, orchestral “The Dark Knight” score. “I take him aside, I’m like, ‘Mike, this is the most important moment in the movie for me. The crux of my whole character, my whole arc. That doesn’t work for me, dude.’ … Now it’s two dudes ready to kill each other. … Spit’s flying.” According to LaBeouf, Bay left the set with the NASA/military entourage, and his director of photography finished shooting the sequence without him. (Bay declined to be interviewed for this piece.)
After working on three “Transformers” movies together, the 25-year-old actor says, Bay is “sort of my big brother. …We’re both very game, very passionate people. Sometimes it’s not actor-director. Sometimes it’s two dudes yelling over explosions. Sometimes it doesn’t sound like the friendliest conversation. But we love each other.”
LaBeouf is relating the story from a divey Middle Eastern restaurant in a Hollywood strip mall, a Lionel Richie song playing in the background as a waiter delivers his usual order — “my chicken thing with those crispy deals” and some steaming Turkish coffee. “I come here for the décor,” LaBeouf says, gesturing at the mostly empty eatery’s eight Formica tables. “There’s candleholders. It’s opulence.”
Lean, shaggy-haired and smart alecky sometimes to the point of self-destruction, LaBeouf has little in common with the beefy, well-behaved heroes of many summer popcorn movies. On a good day, his off-screen candor merely gives some studio executives heartburn; on a bad day, it lands him in a bar fight. But he insists that he’s finally starting to grow up.
LaBeouf, raised in Echo Park, the only child of a Vietnam veteran and ballerina, is the first artist in his family to make it. He has been steadily employed since age 13, when he was cast as the wisecracking star of the Disney Channel tween sitcom “Even Stevens,” and today his multimillion-dollar paydays support both parents in separate homes. (LaBeouf says his father, a onetime heroin addict, is now clean — “My parents are retired basically. He’s painting again. She likes nature.”)
LaBeouf was handpicked by executive producer Steven Spielberg to be the human face of the “Transformers” franchise, which so far has grossed more than $1.5 billion worldwide; the third installment reaches theaters on 3-D screens Tuesday night, and opens nationwide on Wednesday. He was also the young heart of Spielberg’s 2008 Indiana Jones reboot, “The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” fulfilling the kind of relatable adventurer role Richard Dreyfuss did in 1970s Spielberg movies such as “Jaws” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”
“That’s a gift and a curse,” LaBeouf says of being Spielberg’s 21st century hero. “Steven introduced me to the world in a way. The man has been incredible to me. But the work that I’ve done with him, the character variation is not heavy. It’s sort of all in the same vein. … I’ve gotta anchor these movies that are in these outrageous worlds, and I have to be as tangible as possible. … I have no problem with that, but I don’t want to be there forever.”
Inspired by a line of Hasbro toys from the 1980s, the “Transformers” movies depict warring bands of giant, sentient robots from the planet Cybertron that can shape-shift into cars and other vehicles. LaBeouf plays Sam Witwicky, a reluctant soldier in the war between the benevolent Autobots and the evil Decepticons.
LaBeouf says he has been warned by people he respects — including Spielberg — to watch his words in public and smooth some of his rough edges.
“The way Steven described it to me was, ‘When Tom Cruise walks outside his house, he doesn’t pick his nose. From the minute he leaves his door to the minute he comes back home, he doesn’t pick his nose.’ Now that’s a certain way to live your life that I have no ambitions toward.”
Not that Mr. Chicken-Thing-and-Crispy-Deals isn’t polishing himself a bit, with the encouragement of his girlfriend, a Vietnamese American stylist he met at a karaoke club in Echo Park.
“Pâté? A cheese plate? That’s a very 25-year-old deal,” he says. “I can get down with some fig jelly and some cheese on a cracker. …. She’s having me try different things. I was scared of fish, ’cause of my upbringing, being Jewish. Gefilte can ruin your entire seafood life.”
After “Wettest County,” which the Weinstein Co. plans to release, LaBeouf says he isn’t sure what he’ll do next.
“There’s this coming-of-age thing that’s happening within me. I’ve come from family-fare, pop-culture, Steven Spielberg-safe, made-for-a-generalized-populace [projects], and I have these yearnings to do different things. Which way is this boy gonna go? I have no idea. …I’m just reading and being patient now for the first time.”
