As for the battle of the bands it was a kill it or feel it for me. I feel will have say that the mighty Gramblin State University band took the stage once again!!!!

Prairie View A & M University vs. Gramblin University At The State Fair Classic 2011
The annual Southwest State Fair Classic will opened the month up as the Panthers took on Grambling State at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas on Oct. 1, 2011. This year it was a flip-flop year for the two teams. Different changes happening in terms of the leadership of the two teams. Doug Williams of the NFL Super Bowl Red Skins returns to Gramblin State University, as coach. Then on, the PV team there was one new addition to the team he was the Defensive Head Coach in the Gramblin Department. This year’s classic should live up be the team to watch and it was. As Northern served as an assistant under new Grambling State head coach Williams for a total of seven years, including six at Grambling State.
